The concluded Provident Fund Management Committee elections have seen the election of three new staff representatives across two key categories.
Mr. Evans Owusu Apau, an Accountant at the University Printing Press, and Mrs. Mavis Osei Boateng, an Assistant Registrar at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Law, were elected as Senior Members’ Representatives, securing 116 votes (31.10%) and 86 votes (23.06%) respectively.
In a message of appreciation, Mr. Apau expressed heartfelt gratitude to members for the trust reposed in him.
“I am deeply grateful to all members of the Provident Fund for the confidence you have shown in me by electing me as your Senior Members' Representative,” he stated. “Your support means a great deal, and I assure you of my unwavering commitment to serve your best interests.”
He pledged to advocate for members’ concerns and ensure that their voices are heard at all levels of decision-making within the Fund’s administration.
Ms. Gifty Dwomoh, a Senior Nursing Officer at the University Hospital, emerged as the Senior Staff Representative with 188 votes (45.97%).
